March Meeting

Orange Blossom Beekeepers Association will be meeting Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Azalea Room at the Orange County Extension Offices located at 6021 S. Conway Road, Orlando, FL.

There will be two guest speakers this month! Bo Sterk, a beekeeper from North Florida will be presenting his photos and discussion about his tour of Haiti last year. This should prove to be a very eye-opening, interesting lecture. Come join us to see how Beekeepers from other places operate!

Second on the agenda is Jerry Dunbar, a Florida/Michigan beekeeper wo makes a propolis tincture. This tincture is a very concentrated liquid with all the property of propolis dissolved in it. He is bringing his 1 ounce bottles for sale ($10 each). On a personal note, I have a bottle of his tincture and it is amazing. Recently, I had bronchitis and used it in conjunction with my prescribed medications and believe I recovered quicker and had a shortened illness due to it. Buy a bottle and see for yourself.

Beth Fox will present a brief announcement that she has been approved by the Board of Managers for the Florida State Beekeepers Association to Chair the Honey Queen Program for Florida.
